Feel very happy t his evening!
Talked to my cousin Robert Wood in Fairfax, VA. Here is what his "older" brother, my cousin Richard Wood is doing out in the Pacific in Guam:
Captain Richard K. Wood II
Commanding Officer Captain Richard K. Wood II, a native of Annandale,Virginia, graduated from the University of Virginia, earning a...

Last night I was emotional and powerless to help a fellow Aspie.
Support group had just eneded and we began to conversate about why she had not attended for quite some time. She went on to describe how she wanted for all the world to prove to her self that she is "normal". She said that she for years wanted to reject the notion that...

Last week I dreamed that I lost my daughter. We were on an outing together and I needed to go and get my car. By the time I found my car (it was one of THOSE dreams where everything takes forever) it had been over two hours since I'd last seen K.
I was frantic and didn't know where to begin looking. I remembered other times she'd gotten lost....

The last thing anybody who rides a bicycle wish ot encounter is a strong head wind and a plethora of stop lights/obstacles. The many stops we experience makes us have to re start our leg power and crank that bike back up to speed. That is way more energy than the continuation of the momentum that has been attained. We hate to lose that moment. It...

Being mute & quiet, & washing dirty laundry for Dad again this afternoon. "Routines" are a way to keep my calm & happy as an autistic. While Nate is "out" this afternoon, being Dad's "taxi" to another doctor's appointment. It seems like Dad is having more "vascular" problems with his...

Have just returned home from getting a small amount of cash to purchase petrol for my truck. I then drove up to Londonderry, NH 4 town north of me, to visit the company, "Ride-Away, Inc.", which does "disability" modifications to vehicles. I need a set of "hand controls".
1st step in the process, is to meet with a...

Birthdays for K are usually sad for me as his Mom. The distance between what a 18 year old and what K is like seem further apart now. The time table is different but did hear him say " I want a cell phone next year!" So this provides me with hope. We are headed to court in Feb. for guardianship of him. ...

Had a smaller snowstorm than what we had last week. But it is ending with "rain". I am not going outside this evening & getting myself "soaked to the skin" clearing snow.
Nate has another cold, & his head feels the size of a basketball.
Therefore, I was the one who had to "cook" Supper for the 3 of us...

Sophie had an appointment today with her developmental pediatrician. It was very successful. We had to drive over an hour to get to the appointment. Sophie stood on the scale quietly, stood next to the wall to be measured correctly, and held very still for her blood pressure to be taken. She also answered a couple of simple...

This a poem about a cat I knew at the cat shelter where I volunteer. Believe it or not this cat just got adopted.
She sits alone in a cage crying for attention.
I open the door and reach to her. There's
something that she fails to mention.
She doesn't like hands reaching, touching, caressing.
When I reach to her she hisses and...
