January

Wednesday, January 21, 2009 @10:18:50 AM

This odd, cold, hovering time is the most difficult for most families I am aquainted with in the Spectrum world.

If I could take each of you and lift you and yours up and out of this, I would. I beleive that the cyclical grief of parenting or caring for our kids is happily disguised by the many beautiful stages and places in which we live. (Minnesota) January is relentless for so many reasons. The insane sense of the Holidays is a goner, school is beginning to grind on the tender nervouse systems and the daylight is brief.

At our house we are busy trying to get outside every day, rain, snow or shine. We are seeing movies, having sleepovers, and going to the monster truck shows at the dome. Build a bonfire, eat weird food and hop in a tanning bed.

Take the gloves off and tell your life how big you are. Do not let your life tell you how small you are.

Hello, Shellie,

Here in the center of Lower Michigan we are having one of the longest cold stretches I can recall. And because of the cold, our more-frequent-than-usual snows this year are not melting. The blessing is that having a couple of inches 4 or 5 times a week keeps the snow looking really clean. Looks like a fairy land sometimes. I have been heard to say, "Wow , I feel like we are in Minnesota!" Thanks for your uplifting blog. Wishing you a blessed gllittering morning tomorrow.
