My Aspergers POEMS/Quotations

Tuesday, June 12, 2012 @10:42:50 PM

Here are a few of my poems and quotations .I will add more as time goes on

Understanding ASD  (Aspergers)
If you don’t understand me
Then who has the problem?

Rod Wintour 2012 (c)

Finding ourselves

Finding ourselves is like staring into space trying to figure out what Planet we’re on
Creating ourselves we construct a map along the way.

Rod Wintour… 2012 (c)

Poem

Some Annoying ASD Logic (Not all ASD PEOPLE)

People just don’t get it,
                            It goes two ways
When they get annoyed ,
                      by my annoying characteristics
Can’t they see I am just as annoyed at them?
                           for being annoyed?

                                            WE’RE EVEN

ASPERGERS

We are different in the perception of conventional thinkers
But suffer no more failures than the rest of humanity

My happy planet

I have Aspergers and I'm currently on another
                           planet
which this world revolves around

Rod Wintour (c) 2011

My ASD characteristics

Rocking on a chair is less anti social
Than rocking on a jar of nitro glycerine

Rod Wintour 2011 (c)

My education

If I wanted an English lesson
I wouldn't have wagged it

ROD WINTOUR
(C) 2011

Aspergers without limitation

If Aspergers doesn’t limit you
Then it’s not a disability

Rod Wintour © 2011
Aspergers Adult

Bitterness

Bitterness targets a person in it's scopes
but always points the rifle in the wrong direction.

Rod Wintour
Aspergers Adult (c) 2011

Normal

A person with a disability is someone who doesn't act normal.
Normal is the criteria you must fit into as not to be shunned by society
A society is a large group of people who can't describe normal.…

Rod Wintour 2011 (c)

WHO MAKES THE RULES?

Don’t hand flap when you’re excited
It’s not normal at your age
It’s inappropriate to rock so sit still,
What will people think?
You have Aspergers and it’s nothing to be a shamed of
BUT DON’T TELL ANYONE!!!!!
Aspergers means you may be extremely gifted,
But try to act normal because we don’t want people to think
THAT YOU ARE A RETARD DO WE?!!!!

Who makes the rules?
                       Are there any?
                                          But where?
Are these rules made for Us?
or is it just your own fear?

                 Rod Wintour

My Special Poem, hope you like it

IT'S ALL ABOUT POOR ME

I want to be an aspie
god I have tried so hard
but nobody will believe me
this great big tub of lard

Aspies should all gather
at my place overnight
to discuss their awful ailment
and my imaginary plight

My sons are right onto me
they know it just an act
I try so very hard and long
but cannot prove the fact

Just a spoiled child me
I rarely went to work
but demanded my poor wife
support this great fat jerk

I stayed at home all day
and wouldn't help her at all
never a finger did I lift
while she vacuumed the hall

She washed and ironed
while working all day as well
while I played games and watched TV
and wished her go to hell

After fourteen years of marriage
our relationship was spent
with me demanding attention
and building discontent

Eventually she'd had enough
and who would be surprised?
I never moved my lazy ass
and wouldn't be chastized

Now she's gone to greener fields
and I'm all alone again
but nothing better I can do
than whinge moan and complain

But I want to be an aspie
not a damn thing have I learned
it's just the same all over again
my future is being burned

I've tried to implicate my sons
but they're having none of it
they've never be complicit
and both reckon I should quit

Funny how things come around
I'm writing this in biro
recognizing a kindred spirit
in that deranged gyro

But I REALLY want to be an aspie
god I have TRIED so HARD
and still nobody believes me
this great big tub of lard
