I'm guilty of eavesdropping.

I overheard the comment that people dealing with autism don't have emotions to hinder them, completely lack emotional stress and really are better off then the rest of us who do.

Wow! Where can I sign up!

Did I miss a mass media campaign somewhere?

I know they make pills for that... but I don't think that's something you'd like.

WOW! As the mom of both an Asperger's child and an autistic child, I will remember to tell my counselor/therapist at my next session that people dealing with autism have no emotional stress. She will be happy to hear that I will not have to be coming back again! HE! HE!

Whoever made that comment surely has NO idea what dealing with autism is all about. My children are special and beautiful people, but that does not mean that it is easy by any account.
