Introduction to the PLAY Project

Date: 2/23/2011
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Dr. Richard Solomon, a developmental and behavioral pediatrician and Medical Director of the Ann Arbor Center for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, will present an introduction to The PLAY Project.

Parents spend more time with their children than all of their teachers and therapists combined. As your child's best PLAY partner, you can provide many hours of high quality intervention throughout the day. Based on the DIR (Developmental, Individual Differences, Relationship-based) theory of Stanley Greenspan, MD, The PLAY Project was developed to help show you, the parent, practical ways of making every interaction with your child with autism a growing and learning experience.

In this presentation, Dr. Solomon will demonstrate the fundamentals of play-based intervention, including play strategies, methods and techniques.
